Investment: phosphate bonded investings
Preheating: 750 °C, 30 to 90 min at end temperature, corresponding to muffle size
Casting: 1200 °C; if using resistance heated casters possibly increase on 20-30 °C. Graphite crucible resp. ceramic crucible.
Finishing: with carbide milling and/or ceramic bonded abrasives. Take care to ensure always to use the same direction of rotation! Sandblasting with 110 -150 μm aluminium oxide particles. Pressure may not exceed 2 bar.
Cleaning: clean with steam device or boil in distilled water.
Oxide firing: 10 min at 800 °C with vacuum. Preferably, acidify for 10 - 15 minutes in a warm and clean neacid bath or carefully blast with 50 - 110 μm aluminium oxide.
Finally, steam off thoroughly.
